LIGHT FOR TOWN AND COUNTRY SETTINGS
When it comes to the illumination of public spaces, a two-class approach is by no means unusual. While main routes and prominent squares are equipped with upmarket lamps, side streets often have to make do with inexpensive standard models. The result is an inconsistent townscape and erratic lighting. The Dalvik family provides urban planners and architects with a decidedly more coherent solution.
Innovation
FLEXIBLE LUMINAIRE CONCEPT
The pole-mounted Dalvik luminaire is suitable for a virtually unlimited range of uses. Its LED head can even be used to retrofit existing poles and can be fixed in various positions. The systematic concept also enables several heads to be mounted on a shared pole. The LED light sources reduce energy consumption, maintenance cycles and stray light – thus ensuring low operating costs.

Design
EYE-CATCHING PURISM
Compact, minimalistic and orthogonal, the die-cast aluminium lamp head looks just as much at home in historical settings as it does in modern architectural surroundings. The clear, objective design language symbolises reliability and durability. Two grooves run right round the lamp, creating a filigree side view and permitting the integration of brushed stainless steel trims for individual variations. This option is the first of its kind in this product category and makes the design a highly interesting proposition – not only for municipalities.
Dalvik was presented with the Baden-Württemberg International Design Award (Focus Open 2014) and the Iconic Award 2014.
