PRESSURE WASHING THE JAPANESE WAY
Despite the advance of globalisation, country-specific product requirements are still surprisingly common – and that goes for pressure washers too. The JTK 38 was developed specifically for the Japanese consumer segment and has little in common with European specimens of the same genre.
SMALL BUT POWERFUL
In line with the high population density of urban areas in Japan, the pressure washer is extremely compact so as to permit convenient storage even when space is in short supply. Yet despite its small dimensions, the appliance offers the performance consumers have come to expect from Kärcher – and even provides user-friendly storage possibilities for its accessories.
MINIMALISM AS THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE
The JTK 38 takes its cues from the great Japanese tradition of understatement and uses a very stringent, clear design language. It deliberately avoids dynamising, virile attributes, preferring an endearing appearance instead. The handle appears to hover in mid-air, underlining the machine’s striking basic shape. Besides visualising premium quality, the appliance’s high-gloss housing clearly places it among the ranks of typical Japanese household appliances.
